Who We Are

Create North Dakota is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization designed to foster teamwork, creative problem solving, and innovation with students from preschool through college. Create North Dakota is the exclusive sponsor of Destination ImagiNation in the state of North Dakota. DI ™, is one of the most popular extracurricular school activity in North Dakotawith some 300 student participants from several schools and community based organizations each year. Since its inception in 2000, CreateND has had over 5,000 North Dakota students in its creative problem solving programs.

Destination ImagiNation, our core program, is an exhilarating after-school activity in which students work in teams to solve mind-bending Challenges and present their solutions at Tournaments. Teams are tested to think on their feet, work together, and devise original solutions that satisfy the requirements of the Challenges. Participants gain more than just basic knowledge and skills – they learn to unleash their imaginations and take unique approaches to problem solving.
